Getting started: your bot live in 5 minutes
From signup to a working chat widget on your website — the whole flow, step by step.
1. Create your bot
Sign up free — no credit card. The setup wizard starts automatically: give your bot a name, pick its primary language (it will still auto-detect and answer visitors in 12 languages), and optionally start from an industry template with pre-written Q&A pairs for your sector.
2. Point it at your website
Enter your website address. The wizard discovers your pages, indexes the most useful ones first, and shows each page's status as it processes. This is the bot's entire source of truth: it answers only from your content. If you don't have a website, write a starter Q&A pair instead — you can add more anytime from the Knowledge tab.
3. Test it before your visitors do
The Try Your Bot step opens a real chat and suggests questions generated from your own pages. Ask the hard ones — your prices, your opening hours, your refund policy. Also ask something your site doesn't answer: the correct behavior is an honest "I don't know", not an invented answer.
4. Install the widget
The final step gives you a single line of code:
<script async src="https://zedinga.ai/widget.js" data-bot-id="YOUR_BOT_ID"></script>
Paste it before </body> on your site — WordPress, Wix, Webflow, or hand-written HTML all work the same way. On Shopify, the widget installs itself once your store is connected — an Enterprise feature our team sets up for you (see the Shopify guide). Not the one who manages the site? The bot's Embed tab has a send to developer button and an install checker that confirms the widget is live on your domain.
What to do next
- Watch the Unanswered tab in your first days — every question the bot couldn't answer is logged there, and each one is a two-minute Q&A fix.
- Explore knowledge sources to deepen what your bot knows.
- Turn on the channels you need: lead capture, live chat handoff, notifications.
