Shopify: catalog answers & order tracking
Connect your store, sync products into the bot's knowledge, and let customers check order status in chat — safely.
The Shopify package (catalog sync + order tracking) is an Enterprise feature — every store connection is set up hands-on by our team, so contact us to get connected. Here's what the setup includes and how it works once live.
Connecting your store
We create the store's dedicated Shopify app and send you a connect link; you enter your .myshopify.com domain and approve on Shopify's consent screen. Two things happen automatically: the chat widget installs on your storefront (no theme editing), and your storefront domains are added to the bot's allowlist.
Catalog sync
Hit Sync products and every active product — name, price, link, description — flows into the bot's knowledge, one product per knowledge entry (so a price never gets separated from its product name). Set the sync frequency to daily and price changes in Shopify reach the bot automatically.
Customers then ask "do you have X, how much?" and get the real price with a clickable product link.
Order tracking (WISMO)
Enable Order lookup in the bot's Settings. When a customer asks about their order, the bot shows a verification form: order number + the email used at checkout — both must match before anything is shown. On a match they see the status, item count, total and tracking link.
Safety design worth knowing: the AI never touches order data. The answer comes from a deterministic Shopify lookup, wrong attempts get an identical "not found" (so the form can't be used to fish for information), and three failed attempts close the form.
Multiple stores
One Zedinga account can run several stores — each store connects to its own bot with its own catalog and language, all managed from the same dashboard.
